Apavin MCP

Connect your AI agent to business email and WhatsApp.

With the context, permissions and controls it needs to act safely. Your agent searches conversations, reads customer history and drafts replies. A person approves what goes out.

What MCP is

A standard plug between AI assistants and the tools they use.

The Model Context Protocol lets an AI client discover tools on a server and call them. Apavin runs an MCP server for your business communication. It is not a chatbot and not another inbox you have to watch: it is the layer that lets the agent you already use reach email and WhatsApp, under rules you control.

Email connects over IMAP and SMTP with an app password: Gmail and Google Workspace, Outlook.com, Microsoft 365, Yahoo, Zoho Mail or any other host. WhatsApp connects through Meta’s official WhatsApp Business Platform Cloud API with your own number. There is no WhatsApp Web automation and no personal-number workaround.

An agent can

  • Search and read email synced into Apavin since the inbox was connected
  • Read WhatsApp conversations on numbers connected through Meta's Cloud API
  • Look up customers, deals, notes and your uploaded knowledge
  • Save drafts, submit messages for approval, schedule follow-ups
  • Check whether a message was accepted, delivered or read

An agent cannot

  • Send anything without a person approving it, unless an admin turns on auto-send rules (MCP Growth and up)
  • Message a WhatsApp customer outside the 24 hour window without an approved template
  • Message anyone who replied STOP
  • Change its own permissions, see credentials, or reach another workspace
  • Use WhatsApp Web, a personal number or a session cookie. Official Cloud API only

Connection guide

From sign-up to the first approved reply.

  1. Step 1

    Create a workspace

Sign up free. MCP Developer has no time limit and no card.

  2. Step 2

    Connect email and WhatsApp

Any IMAP/SMTP mailbox with an app password, and a number on Meta's official WhatsApp Cloud API.

  3. Step 3

    Choose what agents may do

Read, draft, submit for sending, templates, follow-ups. Each is a switch. Sending starts off.

  4. Step 4

Add the endpoint to your client

Paste the MCP URL into Claude, Cursor, VS Code or your own agent. It signs in with OAuth.

  5. Step 5

    Approve what goes out

Messages the agent submits wait in Apavin. A person reads each one and presses approve.

Your endpoint

Shown in Apavin under Settings, AI agents (MCP), Connect, with a connection test that checks initialization, tool discovery and your accounts without sending anything.

Signing in

Your client opens Apavin in a browser. You see which application is asking, which workspace, and each permission it wants. Untick what you do not want, approve, and you are returned to your client.

Examples

What it looks like in practice.

Find a customer email and prepare a reply

The agent searches the shared inbox, reads the thread, checks your knowledge base for the price, and saves a draft for you to read.

Summarize a WhatsApp conversation

Who they are, what they asked, what was promised, and whether the 24 hour reply window is still open.

Find the question nobody answered

Thread summaries mark awaiting_reply and list the open questions in the customer's last message.

Draft a follow-up from approved information

Answers come from documents you uploaded. When the knowledge base has nothing, the tool says so instead of guessing.

Submit a message for approval

The send returns pending_approval and a link. A person approves it in Apavin, and only then does it go out.

Schedule a nudge and cancel it if they reply

Follow-ups are scheduled for a time you choose, approved first, and cancellable until they send.

Permissions and approvals

Nothing the agent reads can change what it is allowed to do.

What you approved for this client

When you connect Claude or Cursor, Apavin shows the operations it is asking for. Untick any of them.

What your admin allows any agent

Workspace switches for reading, drafting, sending, templates, follow-ups and audit access. Off is off, on every call.

What your plan includes

MCP Developer reads and drafts. Business adds sending with approval. Growth adds rule-based auto-send.

Who you are right now

Your role is checked on every request. Lose access and your agent loses it on its next call, not when its token expires.

What the approver sees

The recipient, the account it will go out from, the complete message, the action, the agent’s stated reason, the customer’s last message, template and window constraints, and afterwards who approved it, when, and what the provider reported. Approve, decline, or cancel a scheduled send.

Security and revocation

Revoke in one click. It takes effect on the next call.

Access tokens last an hour and are stored only as hashes. Refresh tokens rotate, and presenting an old one revokes the connection. Revoking cancels anything the agent queued and has not sent. Credentials for your mailbox and WhatsApp number are encrypted at rest and never returned by any tool.

Questions

What is MCP, in plain language?+

The Model Context Protocol is a standard way for an AI assistant to use outside tools. An MCP server publishes a list of tools with their inputs; an MCP client such as Claude, Cursor or VS Code connects to it and lets the model call those tools. Apavin's MCP server publishes tools for business email, WhatsApp and customer context.

Is there a free plan?+

Yes. MCP Developer is free with no time limit: 500 calls a month, one email account, search, reading, summaries and drafts. Sending and WhatsApp start on MCP Business.

Will my agent send messages without asking?+

Not unless your admin sets that up, and only on MCP Growth or Enterprise. By default every outbound message returns pending_approval and waits for a person in Apavin. Even with auto-send rules on, templates, scheduled messages and first messages to new recipients always wait for a person.

Which clients work with it?+

Any MCP client that supports remote servers over Streamable HTTP with OAuth. The settings page has instructions for MCP Inspector, Claude Code, Claude, Cursor and VS Code. Each is marked untested until it has been connected to the live endpoint and the result recorded.

Can the agent read every email in my mailbox?+

It reads mail Apavin has synced into the shared inbox, which is mail received since you connected the account. It does not reach back into the mailbox's full history, and it only sees accounts your plan allows agents to use.

How do I cut an agent off?+

Revoke the connection under Settings, AI agents (MCP). Its tokens stop working immediately and any message it queued that has not been sent is cancelled. Switching MCP off for the workspace stops every agent at once.

Who pays for WhatsApp messages?+

Meta bills you directly for WhatsApp messages on your own WhatsApp Business account. Apavin does not resell or mark up Meta's charges, which vary by recipient country and message category.
